HFC had a booth in the small dog area of the Pet Tales at the Barkyard, Lasalle Park on Saturday, August 13, 2011. It was a beautiful day by the water with all the Barkyards 4-legged visitors. HFC's tent was extremely popular shade and lounging spot for those worn out hot dogs! Volunteers met Anne Neville, Buffalo News columnist and Pet Tales writer! We also met many of the rescued dogs profiled in her column and their owners. Sad stories with fabulous outcomes, especially Zelda who is the City of Buffalo Animal Shelters 2010 Success Story of the Year & poster DOG. A special thank you to the Barkyard and board members for hosting this wonderful event. Many thanks for the generous donations and to those who visited and learned about HFC's mission & programs! Spread the word...adopt & give rescued animals a chance...they deserve love!
